The robust sensor gauge tube is easily installed into vacuum systems and when properly excited, generates a thermoelectric voltage to provide a vacuum pressure measurement based on gas density. The DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tube fully compensates for temperature and rate of temperature change.Thermocouple gauge tubes are calibrated on vacuum systems that contain N2 or Air, but can be used with other gases. Additionally, thermocouple gauges and their controllers can be recalibrated when a replacement thermocouple gauge tube is installed, following instructions in the manual. However, our DB-20 reference tube is available to confirm meter/controller performance. A complete line of installation accessories are also available to simplify the integration of our thermocouple gauge tubes into a variety of vacuum systems. A new set of motorized tables developed by Klocke Nanotechnik allows high strokes at small volumes. The modules are driven by the Nanomotor®. Loads of up to two kg can be moved over centimeters of stroke with down to 2 nm resolution. Manipulation in many degrees of freedom is possible without backlash. The modules NMT xx-L are longer, but thin like a pencil. In most of the NMT-modules position measurement systems can be included without increasing the size. The resolution of the position sensor is better than 10 nm. All NMT modules can easily be fixed onto each other. Very small connectors allow the exchange of a module without removing cables. The NMT-Zxx are modules for vertical movement. They have an internal load compensation to lift up loads. Nanomotor-Grippers and force sensors that can easily be fixed on these modules are available.

The Hawk® Radius is a ruggedized solution for monitoring both ambient and elevated levels of ionizing radiation. Like a Hawk with its remarkable vision, the Hawk Radius Probe “sees” things that other probes cannot. The high sensitivity weatherized pancake sensor can provide early warning of changing ambient radiation conditions, while the energy compensated detector can accurately report penetrating gamma radiation dose rate at elevated levels. Radius probes are typically deployed as part of an environmental radiation monitoring program, or for safety and security systems. In its standard configuration the probe detects beta, low energy gamma and x-radiation with one channel and energy compensated penetrating gamma radiation levels with a second channel. It can be configured to detect alpha radiation as well. The Hawk® Radius has been deployed worldwide in demanding conditions for protecting communities and collecting environmental radiation data. It can be deployed easily and requires minimum maintenance. The Radius is compatible with Medcomʻs GeigerLink adapter and the IMI Gateway App for use with personal computers. It can also be used with most data loggers including popular Campbell Scientific models.

The Vector-Finder Types VF-121 and VF 121A are unique in the Vector-finder series of direction finding antennas. They incorporate a proven design, electro statically shielded loop sensing element with modern solid state low noise analog and digital technology to allow detection and location of aircraft band signals. Both the VF-121 and the VF 121A incorporate a unique digital modulator which allows the user to more easily home-in on unmodulated carriers. Such cases occur at airports when transmitter may be accidentally keyed on during aircraft overnight layovers. The VF-121 is specifically designed to be used on airport premises where signal strengths are high. To compensate for very strong signals, an integral attenuator is also incorporated to allow the user to operate the unit close-in to aircraft. The VF-121A differs in that a high gain, low-noise preamplifier is utilized with the sensing element in order to hunt signals that may be weak or at a distance. The unit is ideally suited for the location of ELT transmitters in the field. Both units are tunable over the 118 MHz to 130 MHz aircraft frequencies and interface directly to the user’s aircraft band receiver or transceiver via the antenna jack. With the antenna system connected to the receiver, the user will hear the desired signal. If the signal is unmodulated, the digital modulator will generate a tone on the carrier. When the handheld unit is rotated about, an audible null on the received signal or the generated tone will be heard. This null aligns with the axis of the equipment case and represents the direction of the received signal. This direction may be read from the black dial compass mounted on the top of the enclosure. As the response is bi-directional, triangulation may be used to determine the true bearing when the true direction is not known.

The Model N300 is a microprocessor-controlled analyzer based on the Beer-Lambert law that is used to determine the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) in a sample gas.The N300 uses Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) to overcome the interfering effects of various other gases (such as water vapor) that also absorb Infrared (IR) light. The analyzer passes the IR light beam through a spinning wheel made up of two separate chambers: one containing a high concentration of CO known as the reference, and the other containing a neutral gas known as the measure. The concentration of CO in the sample chamber is computed by taking the ratio of the instantaneous measure and reference values and then compensating the ratio for sample temperature and pressure.

A flame ionization detector converts a hydrocarbon gas concentration into an electrical signal. The flame is hydrogen fueled and burns in hydrocarbon free combustion air. Either side of the flame are two electrodes between which an electric field is generated by means of a polarization voltage. The sample is pre-mixed with the fuel gas and heated in the flame to a temperature at which the hydrocarbon molecules ‘crack’ and CH fragments appear. These CH fragments are oxidated by the oxygen in the combustion air resulting in the formation of CHO+ ions. The ion current then passes to the electrodes and the resulting current measured is proportional to the quantity of C atoms derived from organic compounds.The Thermo-FID features two separate microprocessor controlled pressure compensations to avoid any influence from environmental or sample conditions. In addition, the complete Thermo-FID range of analyzers are equipped with a flame trap that is used as a heated sample inlet filter. The measurement chamber and all material in contact with the sample gas are heated between 120°C and 200°C to avoid condensation.

Passive probes are the standard probe provided with most oscilloscopes. Typical passive probes provide a 10:1 attenuation and feature a high input resistance of 10 MΩ. This high input resistance means that passive probes are the ideal tool for low frequency signals since circuit loading at these frequencies is minimized. Passive probes are designed to handle voltages of at least 400V, some as high as 600V. Teledyne LeCroy passive probes feature an attenuation sense pin which tells the oscilloscope to scale the waveforms automatically requiring no user input.Each passive probe is recommended for a certain oscilloscope, using the right passive probe with the right oscilloscope means that the probe will be properly compensated across the entire bandwidth.
