LPCIe-7250 provides 8-CH SPDT (Form C) relay outputs and 8-CH isolated digital inputs. The status of each relay output is represented by an onboard LED. When the relay is in SET condition, its corresponding LED will turn ON, and on the contrary, it is OFF. All digital input channels are non-polarity, optically isolated, and may be set to use RC filter or not. The devices are suitable for collecting digital inputs in noisy environments.

The debounce feature is programmable for a period of 2msec to 2147 sec. in binary increments. Channel groups 1 to 32, 33 to 64, 65 to 96 and 97 to 128 can each have a unique programmed debounce period, provided the ratio of clock period between groups does not exceed 32,768.

IsoVu offers complete galvanic isolation and is the industry’s first measurement solution capable of accurately resolving high bandwidth, low voltage differential signals in the presence of large common mode voltages. The stand out feature of IsoVu™ is its best in class common mode rejection across the entire bandwidth. Accurate differential measurements rely on a measurement system’s bandwidth, rise time, common mode voltage, common mode rejection capability, and the ability to connect to smaller test points to characterize devices that are shrinking in size and increasing in performance. Despite these requirements, advancements in test and measurement for power testing, EMI testing, ESD testing, and remote measurement capability have been minimal at best and have not kept pace with changing requirements. While differential voltage probes have had modest performance gains in regard to bandwidth, these probes have failed to make any substantial improvements in regard to common mode rejection, and connectivity. IsoVu is a leap forward in technology and is the only solution with the required combination of high bandwidth, high common mode voltage, and high common mode rejection to enable these differential measurements.

Each group is isolated with respect to each other and with respect to the system using optical isolators and DC-DC converters. Each output channel is driven by a 16 bit resolution precision DAC. The input digital data is converted to analog signals of ±10V range. The digital data for the DACs is written from the cPCI interface via two banks of latches enabling a double buffered output scheme.

Signal IsolatorsDatexel manufacture a large range of Signal Isolators. The DAT511 is a loop powered isolator with 3000 V galvanic isolation between the input and output. It is a 2 wire device so there is no external wiring. The DAT511H is similar but is Hart compatible. The DAT4035 is a universal input signal (Thermocouples, RTD's, mV, Volts, mA, resistance and potentiometers) conditioner with 2000 V isolation between the input and output and it is PC programmable. It is a 2 wire loop powered device. The DAT4135 is similar but it is a 4 wire device so it has the ability to boost the output or provide a voltage output.
