Gas Composition Independent!The HVG-2020A vacuum gauge from Teledyne Hastings is a media-isolated, gas composition independent, piezoresistive instrument that provides accurate pressure measurement throughout the rough vacuum region.The HVG-2020A is easy to install, and the optional display provides the users with several different views, or modes of operation. The HVG-2020A is very flexible and can provide both analog and digital output to easily integrate into process control. A wide variety of linear analog output signals may be selected. This makes the HVG-2020A an excellent choice to replace more expensive capacitance manometers. Digital output can include RS232 and RS485 via a small jack on the top of the instrument. A USB connection is also available on many models which makes connection and operation very easy. Free Windows data acquisition software for data logging is available for the HVG-2020A.

This innovative technology controls the mass flow of various gases with high precision. As with the D500, the user-configurable DZ-100 supports multi-range and multi-gas applications. The compact design of the MFC reduces the internal volume of the internal gas flow path, and the optimized control algorithm improves response characteristics. It uses a compact CPU with high processing capacity, and the piezo drive circuit and control CPU are installed in the MFC module while the power supply components are housed in a separate small control box. Up to four MFC modules can be controlled by connecting them with the dedicated miniature connectors.

The VersaSCAN is a single platform capable of providing spatial resolution to both electrochemical and materials-based measurements. Each VersaSCAN is based on a common high-resolution, long-travel, closed-loop positioning system mounted to a vibration-resistant optical base. These ancillary pieces (e.g., an electrometer, piezo vibration unit, or a laser sensor) provide functionality to the positioning system for different scanning probe experiments. The Falco Systems WMA-005 is a high voltage amplifier that runs from an 24 - 30V DC power supply and can be battery powered if required, e.g. for use in a Faraday cage. Its internal high voltage generator is inductor-free and hence does not spread magnetic interference in sensitive experimental setups. The output noise is impressively low at 3mVrms. For extremely low noise applications where bandwidth is not an issue, a dedicated WMA-005LF version is available that contains an output low pass filter capacitor which reduces the bandwidth to 50Hz, but makes the noise drop to below 0.1mVrms. This bandwidth-limited amplifier is ideal for MEMS or piezo positioning with manual voltage adjustment.

Wrist Strap Monitors

Single conductor (more commonly called single wire) ESD wrist strap monitors detect capacitance. These simplified monitors sense the input connection but do not discern precision resistance. They also offer additional value by monitoring the worksurface (ESD Mat) and the ground connection. The built-in LED offers local visual alerts, and a small piezo buzzer offers a nice clear audible alert to the operator at the bench.
