The National RF line of attenuators are compact, affordable attenuators which are ideal for insertion between a direction finding antenna and a receiver/transceiver, to aid in the DF process. In addition, they may be used in the laboratory for a low-power, in-line attenuation purposes. The affordable price is achieved by utilizing standard 5% tolerance resistors and commercial hardware. For laboratory purposes, an attenuation versus frequency curve (to 500mMHz) is provided.

The Keysight 8493A coaxial fixed attenuator provides precision attenuation, flat frequency response, low SWR over broad frequency range at a low price. The attenuator is available in nominal attenuations of 3 dB and 6 dB, also 10 dB increments from 10 dB to 30 dB. This attenuator is swept-frequency tested to ensure it meets specifications at all frequencies. Calibration points are provided on a nameplate chart attached to each unit.

The Keysight 84906L programmable step attenuator offers coaxial measurements to 40 GHz in a compact, rugged design. It offers repeatability of better than 0.03 dB, excellent life greater than 5 million switching cycles per section) and an attenuation range of 0 to 90 dB in 10-dB steps. This latest design evolution sets new standards for size and performance. High attenuation accuracy and low SWR are achieved through the use of miniature thin-film attenuation cards composed of high-stability tantalum nitride film of saphire substrate. Insertion loss is outstanding, with with only 2.4 dB of loss at 40 GHz. The compact size of the unit, 35% smaller than the Keysight 8495/7 (26.5 GHz) family, allows for easy integration into instruments and ATE systems.

Barth High Voltage Pulse Attenuators are matched impedance coaxial attenuators for use primarily in pulsed 50 ohm systems, or where occasional transients would damage ordinary units. The attenuator design closely matches the impedance around each resistor, to that resistor. These attenuators feature an input impedance very close to 50 ohms, with characteristics as good or better than most microwave attenuators.
