The VL53L1 is a state-of-art Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging miniature sensor. Housed in a miniature and reflowable package, it integrates a SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) array, physical infrared filters and optics to achieve the best ranging performance in various ambient lighting conditions, with range of cover glass options.Unlike conventional IR sensors, VL53L1 uses ST’s latest generation direct ToF technology which allows absolute distance measurement whatever the target color and reflectance. It provides accurate ranging up to 4m and can work at fast speed (60Hz), which makes it the fastest miniature ToF sensor on the market.With patented algorithms and ingenious module construction, VL53L1 is also able to detect different objects within the Field-of-View with depth information (histogram) at 60Hz. The EM-6873 Loop Sensor Antenna uses passive circuits to transform magnetic field components between 20 Hz – 100 kHz to an equivalent open circuit two-terminal voltage on the receiving instrument. Use of the conversion Factor Chart, supplied with each antenna, will yield the strength of the magnetic induction field referenced to a uniform field. The loop is electrostatically shielded and therefore is sensitive only to the magnetic component (B-field) of the electromagnetic fields.

Modern driver assistance systems must recognize increasingly complex traffic scenarios and convert them into appropriate vehicle reactions with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and specific algorithms. Imaging radar sensors with a higher spatial resolution, so-called imaging radar sensors, are therefore required. These can better distinguish larger from smaller objects and, due to the larger antenna apertures, also require larger dimensions of the test environment or larger far-field distances. Testing these sensors in the direct far field ( UTP 5065 ) would therefore require very large absorber chambers up to ten meters in size and more.Our efficient test system UTP 5069 offers exactly the right solution:By using CATR technology (Compact Antenna Test Range), 4D, imaging and other radar sensors with large far-field distances are calibrated with high precision in a small footprint. With the extremely low-reflection NOFFZ absorber chamber, the system is very well suited not only for validation, but also for EOL tests.
