Huatai HA4600/IF series, is narrow-band multiplexing EDFA suitable for L-Band fiber link application. With build-in 1550nm Internal Modulation SAT-IF optical transmitter, used for inter-cutting DBS. The WDM inside will multiply the signal from TX and main line signal that is inputted from outside, then the combined signal will enter EDFA to be amplified to serve the local subscribers. To avoid the interferes caused by mismatching of the optical output power between TX and main line signal from outside, output power of the TX can go through a VOA, thus, it can be adjusted or set from the front panel. This unit is simple and clear, easy to be installed and tested. The 65-281-315 32:1 multiplexer is part of the 65-280 and 65-281 ranges of optical plug-in modules offering matrix & insert/bypass or multiplexer & SPST topologies respectively with all models based on MEMS fiber optic switches and available in various populations per plugin. In addition, a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications is offered: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC, SC/PC and ST for general applications and LC for high density applications. They use MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems) based optical switches to route signals between terminals by redirecting the optical signal. This is achieved using micromechanical mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism activated via an electrical control signal.

It may be operated as a conventional multiplexer with break-before-make action when a new channel is selected. In addition multiple channels may be simultaneously selected (not available for this 1-pole version).

A Media Gateway is a networking device that provides valuable and essential functions for organizations, service providers, and network operators. When interconnecting traditional time-division-multiplexed (TDM) telephony systems with modern voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) systems, a VoIP media gateway works by providing protocol conversion (translation) and interoperability between the two network technologies. Also known as an IP media gateway or SIP media gateway, the device converts a traditional analog plain-old-telephone-system (POTS) voice signal or related digital telephony signals such as T1, DS3, STM1 or OC3 into packets for transmission over a data network such as the Internet, private IP Network or a corporate LAN. When the legacy system is based on digital integrated services digital network (ISDN) technology, the device may be called a digital VoIP gateway or ISDN media gateway.
