Source Measure Unit
PXI Source Measure Units (SMUs) combine high-precision source and measure capability with features designed to reduce test time and increase flexibility. These features include high channel density for building parallel SMU test systems, deterministic hardware sequencing for minimizing software overhead, and high-speed update and sample rates for quickly changing setpoints and acquiring data. Additionally, the flexible sampling rate and streaming capability of PXI SMUs allows you to use the instrument as a digitizer to capture transient behavior, and the digital control loop gives you the ability to adjust the transient response of the instrument. The ability to change the transient behavior of the SMU, called SourceAdapt, reduces SMU settling time and minimizes overshoot and oscillations, even with highly capacitive loads.

The GX3788 is a user configurable, FPGA-based, 3U PXI multi-function card which supports digital and analog test capabilities. The card employs the Altera Stratix III FPGA which features over 45,000 logic elements and 1.836 Kb of memory. The GX3788 is based on the GX3700 FPGA card and includes an integral daughter board which provides (8) differential input, 16-bit, 250 MS/s A to D converters and (8), 16-bit, 1 MS/s, D to A converters. The module's FPGA is pre-programmed, providing access to all digital and analog functions. Alternatively, users can program or modify the FPGA , allowing user to adapt the module to their own specific test needs. The design of the FPGA is done by using Altera's free Quartus II Web Edition tool set. Once the user has compiled the FPGA design, the configuration file can be loaded into the FPGA directly or via an on-board EEPROM.

This Data Communications Multiplexer is designed specifically for multiplexing or de-multiplexing up to 32 differential signal pairs having controlled 100 differential impedance. The multiplexer can be configured under software control to provide switching for 32 differential pairs, 16 dual differential pairs and 8 quad differential pairs. The dual and quad versions are particular well suited for providing switching of AFDX, BroadR-Reach and Ethernet signals. To support Ethernet applications, the design includes a switching network that simplifies the swapping of Tx and Rx pairs to simulate the effect of Ethernet crossover cables.

The Validyne model SI314 is a network interface that connects our model P61 USB pressure Transducer to your smart phone or network web browser. The SI314 supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections and will display current pressure readings and transducer status on any web browser or via smart phone. The SI314 also displays the transducer temperature, date of calibration, model and serial numbers and these can be viewed wirelessly or by Ethernet connection. The SI314 makes your P61 accessible from anywhere in the world. Data logging of pressure data is configured via a web browser or smart phone and readings may be stored once per minute to once per hour. A thumb drive or memory card collects the data in comma separated file format(csv) for download to your computer. The data may also be accessed via the network. A graph of the data is also generated on request. A Twitter function allows pressure data to be tweeted from the SI314 at user-defined intervals. The transducer zero and span calibration adjustments are password protected and operated via browser buttons. No potentiometer adjustments are required to calibrate the P61 transducer. Each channel supports concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with passive Bus Monitor, and an independent Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM). Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. The unit provides dual redundant prEN3715 compatible 3910 interface, with variable amplitude dual redundant 3838 interfaces.
