The Keysight 10716A High Resolution Interferometer is used for single and multiple axis applications such as precision X-Y stages. The 10716A offers twice the resolution of conventional plane mirror interferometers and has the same excellent thermal stability as the 10706B High Stability Plane Mirror Interferometer. Measurement drift is typically of that exhibited by a conventional plane mirror interferometer. These features result in improved accuracy, repeatability, and thermal stability. The Keysight N1231B PCI Three-Axis Laser Board with External Sampling is a register based PCI bus board that implements three axes of laser interferometer measurement for position monitoring and closed-loop servo control. There are four external sample inputs along with four data hold inputs that allow easy synchronization with user systems. Several threshold compare registers, with both hardware outputs and interrupt capability, can be used for travel limit and in window or out of window detection functions. The dual mode hardware position outputs, controlled by the hold inputs, provide either a 32-bits/axis parallel interface or a 36-bit multiplexed interface to the 36-bit axis position data at rates up to 20MHz. The user can programmatically access the externally sampled position and velocity data, as well as software sampled position and velocity data, over the PCI bus at rates up to 100kHz (3 axes of position and velocity) or 200kHz (position or velocity only).

Three-component quartz force ring sensors are capable of simultaneously measuring dynamic force in three orthogonal directions (X, Y, and Z). They contain three sets of quartz plates that are stacked in a preloaded arrangement. Each set responds to the vector component of an applied force acting along its sensitive axis. 3-component ring force sensors must be statically preloaded for optimum performance. Preloading provides the sensing elements with the compressive loading required to allow the proper transmission of shear forces. Versions are available with ranges up to 10k lb (45k N) in the z-axis (perpendicular to the top surface), and up to 4000 lb (18k N) in the x-and y (shear) axes. Both ICP® and charge output styles are available.

The Vector-Finder Types VF-121 and VF 121A are unique in the Vector-finder series of direction finding antennas. They incorporate a proven design, electro statically shielded loop sensing element with modern solid state low noise analog and digital technology to allow detection and location of aircraft band signals. Both the VF-121 and the VF 121A incorporate a unique digital modulator which allows the user to more easily home-in on unmodulated carriers. Such cases occur at airports when transmitter may be accidentally keyed on during aircraft overnight layovers. The VF-121 is specifically designed to be used on airport premises where signal strengths are high. To compensate for very strong signals, an integral attenuator is also incorporated to allow the user to operate the unit close-in to aircraft. The VF-121A differs in that a high gain, low-noise preamplifier is utilized with the sensing element in order to hunt signals that may be weak or at a distance. The unit is ideally suited for the location of ELT transmitters in the field. Both units are tunable over the 118 MHz to 130 MHz aircraft frequencies and interface directly to the user’s aircraft band receiver or transceiver via the antenna jack. With the antenna system connected to the receiver, the user will hear the desired signal. If the signal is unmodulated, the digital modulator will generate a tone on the carrier. When the handheld unit is rotated about, an audible null on the received signal or the generated tone will be heard. This null aligns with the axis of the equipment case and represents the direction of the received signal. This direction may be read from the black dial compass mounted on the top of the enclosure. As the response is bi-directional, triangulation may be used to determine the true bearing when the true direction is not known.
