The PCI100 is a PCI bus carrier that allows testing and evaluation of PMCs, PrPMCs and PIMs in a manufacturing or lab environment. The PCI100 routes the 64-bit PCI bus from the edge connector directly to the PMC/PrPMC. The trace lengths from the PCI bus to the PMC/PrPMC connectors are kept at a minimum so the PMC/PrPMC can run at the PCI-X133MHz clock speed.The J4 connector of the PMC/PrPMC site is routed to the PIM site connector per the VITA 36 specification. This gives manufacturers the ability to use the PCI100 to test and verify PIMs. In addition, the PCI100 has the a 96-pin DIN connector (P2) routed to the J4 connector per the VITA-35 specification.The PCI100 has a fan mounted on the board to cool the PMC/PrPMC. The fan is easily removed for testing and probing of the PMC/PrPMC.

The PCI102 allows testing of AMC.1, AMC.2 and AMC.3 modules in a PC environment during development and manufacturing; reducing the costs associated with maintaining different platforms. The PCI101 is a PCI-X edge style carrier with PCIe x4 lanes going to the AMC module. The AMC.1 module connects to the host PC’s PCI-X bus via a PCI-X to PCI ebridge. The AMC.2 module’s GbE ports are routed to RJ-45s. The AMC.3 differential pairs are routed to two SATA connectors. ThePCI102 is available with an optional VT001 IPMI controller which can test the AMC IPMI management functionality. The dual I2C bus connectors allow for connecting any I2C bus to any other I2C bus as well as being able to debug and monitor the I2C bus traffic. Provides two current sense resistors to measure the payload power as well as the management power of the AMC. The PCI102 can be powered on the bench without the host PC.

The PCI104 carrier allows simplified testing of PMC/PrPMCs and their associated PMC I/O Modules (PIMs) by using a PC environment during board development or deployment. The PCI104 can also reduce the costs of manufacturing PMC/PrPMCs by allowing manufacturers to use off-the-shelf PCs for functional testing. The PCI104 converts the PCIe x4 edge connection to PCI-X via a PCIe to PCI-X bridge. The trace lengths to the PMC/PrPMCare kept to a minimum so the PMC/PrPMC can run with a133MHz PCI-X clock speed. The J4 connector of the installed PMC/PrPMC is routed to a 96-pin DIN connector per theVITA-35 specification. The PCIe to PCI-X bridge can run in either transparent or non-transparent mode and can also operate in forward or reverse mode. The PCI104 has a fan mounted on the board to cool the PMC/PrPMC.
