The 50-510 series of matrix cards feature a wide range of selectable switching configurations (22x4,dual 20x4,22x8 and 44x4). Larger matrices may be constructed by Daisy Chaining the common signals from multiple PCI cards. For example four 44x4 Cards will form a 176x4 Matrix, a total of 704 crosspoints. Expansion cables are available for the 50-512 and 50-513: The 50-512 can be expanded to 44x8 or the 50-513 can be expanded to 88x4 using two cards linked by the ribbon cable assembly 50-976-020-0.1M. Also the 50-512 can be expanded to 22x16 or the 50-513 can be expanded to 44x8 using two cards linked by the ribbon cable assembly 50-976-050-0.1M.

Fiber Optic Switch
The 40-852-418 8-channel multiplexer is part of Pickering's range of PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching modules. They are available in many high density formats with a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. Fiber optic multiplexers create a signal path by redirecting the optical signal into a selected output fiber. This is achieved using Micro-Mechanical Mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism and activated via an electrical control signal.

The 40-876-002 is a 50 Ohm 4 to 1 RF multiplexer with 2 banks in a single PXI slot. Additionally, extra switching allows the common connection to be terminated into 50 Ohm, maintaining signal integrity. The module has low insertion loss and VSWR through the use of modern RF relay technology at an affordable cost. Each MUX has been carefully designed to ensure excellent and repeatable RF characteristics to frequencies of 3GHz with each path having a nominally equal insertion loss. The injection of noise and unwanted signals into the signal paths of the 40-876 has been minimized by careful attention to the mechanical and electrical design.
