Product
Power Switches With USB Charge Controller
-
ST’s USB charger emulator family (STCC) features ICs integrating a power switch, a data switch and an intelligent charge controller. It supports most charging schemes on the market (standard and proprietary) to ensure compatibility with a broad range of portable devices. ST’s unique and patented attach detection mechanism makes the STCC family ideal to guarantee fast and accurate charging while preserving the host battery.

I/O Expanders and Level Translators
-
ST’s Xpander family of general-purpose input/output port expanders are used to interface digital ASICs via a two-line bidirectional bus (I²C) . ST’s dual-supply level translators are used as interface between multi-voltage chipsets and system I/Os, ranging from 5.5 V down to 1.2 V.

Product
RS-232
-
The RS-232 family includes transceivers with auto-power-down and standby functions, multi-channel interfaces and driver/receiver circuits. These devices have a 5 V supply or a 3 V to 5 V supply and are ESD protected enabling true RS-232 performance.

Product
Microprocessor Supervisors
-
ST’s microprocessor supervisors are more sophisticated devices that can include watchdog and early power-fail warnings (power-fail in/power-fail out (PFI/PFO)), push-button reset functions and battery monitoring. Microprocessor supervisors with a switchover function preserve SRAM data in the absence of system power by automatically switching to batter backup when power fails. A chip-enable gate automatically write-protects the SRAM when the Vcc begins to fall.

Product
Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS)
-
A transient voltage suppressor (TVS) is an avalanche diode specially designed to clamp overvoltages and dissipate high transient power surges. ST’s Transil™ protection devices are able to shunt a high current surge for a short duration.

Product
Powertrain ICs for ICE/HEV/EV
-
ST's powertrain ICs cover a variety of functions including voltage regulators, sensor interfaces, and load or motor drivers, which are the building blocks of typical Engine Control Units (ECU) found in a vehicle's main applications (engine management systems, transmission control systems, alternator regulators, etc.).

Product
Battery Management ICs
-
Battery management ICs play an important role in ensuring the safety of users, while making sure they get the most out of their battery-powered devices. Battery management solutions require accurate voltage, current, and temperature measurements to determine the exact state of charge of batteries and battery packs.

Automotive Radar Transceivers
-
Driver assistance systems use radar sensors in various counts and configurations. The data provided by the radar sensors is used in applications such as blind-spot detection, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control, to increase safety by enabling vehicles to identify and avoid potentially dangerous situations.

RF Front-end
-
The RF integrated passive device (RF IPD) uses a high-resistivity substrate to integrate quality factor components such as capacitors and indictors. Many functions like impedance matching networks, harmonic filters, couplers, baluns, and power combiners/splitters can be designed using IPD technology. ST's IPDs are manufactured using thick film and HiRes Si or glass wafer manufacturing technology and photolithography processing.
