Operational Amplifiers
Op Amps
-
Operational amplifiers, known also as op amps, play a major role in analog signal conditioning applications. Invented by Karl Dale Swartzel Jr. in 1941, these products are largely used in today’s electronic devices.

Gas Adsorption Analyzers
-
These compact, fully automatic analyzers measure high-resolution physisorption, chemisorption, and vapor sorption isotherms for pore size, surface area, and specific gas/solid interactions. All these parameters are essential for the optimization of a wide range of materials, including adsorbents, catalysts, pharmaceuticals, battery materials, and other porous solids.

Silicon Carbide Diodes
-
In addition to ensuring compliance with today's most stringent energy efficiency regulations (Energy Star, 80Plus, and European Efficiency), ST's silicon-carbide diodes show four times better dynamic characteristics with 15% less forward voltage (VF) than standard silicon diodes. Silicon-carbide diodes belong to our STPOWER family.

Product
RS-422 RS-423 RS-485
-
The low-power, high-speed transceivers of this family are designed for RS-485, RS-422 and RS-423 communication applications. They usually contain one driver and one receiver in half duplex configuration. Each driver output and receiver input is protected against electrostatic discharge up to ± 15 kV and has no latch-up. These transceivers operate with a 5 V supply and draw a very low supply current when unloaded or fully loaded but with disabled drivers.

ESD Protection
-
Protection against electrostatic discharges (ESD) is part of EMC Immunity (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) requirements. It is the ability for equipment to properly operate in its electromagnetic environment by limiting the reception of electromagnetic energy that may cause physical damage. ESD can be either conducted under the form of a transient voltage or can be radiated due to its fast rising time: powerful harmonics will generate erratic behavior by the application by coupling with other signals. Printed circuit boards must be protected against the effects of electrostatic discharge.

Mobility is becoming greener, safer, and more connected. It is reshaping the Automotive industry and redefining our in-vehicle lives. Electrified vehicles, self-driving cars and new services provide more safety, added security and enhanced user experience. However, we need to change the way the functions are designed and updated, and find ways to simplify systems that continue to increase in complexity.
