Damped MEMS High-G Shock Accelerometers
Damped MEMS high-amplitude shock accelerometers represent state-of-the-art industry technology for miniature, high amplitude, DC response acceleration sensors. This series is capable of measuring long duration transient motion, as well as responding to and surviving extremely fast rise times, typical of a high-g shock event as found in explosive, gun and impact testing. Both packaged and OEM configurations are offered, to fulfill a variety of installation requirements.

General Purpose Low Profile
Our low profile load cells feature an advanced structural design that makes them extremely durable, accurate, and resistant to large extraneous shear and moment loads. To perform in a linear and predictable manner, the outside diameter of the load cell must be bolted to a flat rigid surface. When this is unavailable, our factory installed base provides a convenient threaded attachment point for easy installation and use in both tension and compression. All low profile load cells are stocked with the mounting base installed, but we can remove the base upon request.

The Digital ICP®-USB Signal Conditioner, Model 485B39, offers plug-and-play connectivity for your measurements. Model 485B39 from The Modal Shop, a wholly owned subsidiary of PCB Piezotronics, is a pocket-sized, dual-channel ICP to USB digital signal conditioner. The unit provides any ICP sensor – accelerometers, microphones, impact hammers, laser tachometers, and more – with a digital USB output. It is truly plug-and-play, with no drivers required. Digital ICP features two BNC inputs and a 24-bit USB digital signal output, allowing a direct connection from the sensor to any PC, tablet, or smartphone device for easy data collection, analysis, and sharing on-the-go.

Endevco Cryogenic Charge Output Accelerometers
PCB's acquisition of Endevco's full line of testing sensors means all Endevco sensors are now backed by PCB's Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) guarantee. Endevco® cryogenic piezoelectric accelerometers are built specifically for measuring vibration under cryogenic conditions down to -452° F (-269° C). Signal outputs of these units are very stable even at extremely low temperatures. Their rugged internal construction is designed to withstand multiple cycles of thermal shock with steep temperature gradient. The accelerometers are self-generating devices that require no external power source for operation and contain no electronics. This allows them to operate below the -320° F (-196° C) limit of ICP accelerometers, down to -452° F (-269° C).

ICP® Shock Accelerometers
Piezoelectric ICP® accelerometers afford a very high signal output (+/- 5 volts full scale) and the ease of two-wire electrical connectivity. Their inherent ruggedness enables them to be severely over ranged without damage. The addition of internal mechanical isolation minimizes the high frequency stress that would otherwise be encountered by their ceramic sensing elements. This mechanical isolation, coupled with an internal 2-pole electrical filter, built into the ICP® circuitry, tailors the overall accelerometer response to assure data quality to frequencies as high as 10 kHz. Depending on the specific model, accelerations in excess of 50 kg can be successfully measured. These modern designs, with their internal elastomeric isolation materials are verified through calibration to remain dynamically linear and are enabling piezoelectric accelerometers to operate in increasingly severe acceleration environments.

Ballistic Pressure Sensors
PCB® has supplied high frequency, durable, quartz ballistics pressure sensors in both charge and ICP® voltage mode versions for over forty years. Keeping with our tradition, PCB continues to offer a complete line of sensors for conformal and case mouth ballistic measurements. All PCB sensors are provided with NIST traceable calibration. For pre-calibration stabilization purposes, all ballistic pressure sensors are hydraulically cycled at high pressures and most are test fired in the PCB ballistic firing range.
