Gaussian Optics Lens Antennas
SAG-1441544002-06-S1
Gaussian optics lens antennas are offered with either a circular or rectangular waveguide interface. While Gaussian optics lens antennas with a rectangular waveguide interface can only support linear polarization, models with a circular waveguide interface can support various polarization types including horizontal, vertical, left-handed circular, and right-handed circular polarization for broader applications. Gaussian optics lens antennas are designed and constructed to offer high efficiency, low side lobes and a rugged mechanical configuration. A corrugated feed horn and dielectric lens allow these antennas to form well-defined Gaussian beams. Additionally, the dielectric lens provides phase error corrections and serves as a radome to protect from environmental conditions.

Lens Corrected Antennas
Lens corrected antennas are offered with either a circular or rectangular waveguide interface. While lens corrected antennas with a rectangular waveguide interface can only support linear polarization, models with a circular waveguide interface can support various polarization types including horizontal, vertical, left-handed circular, and right-handed circular polarization for broader applications. These antennas are designed and constructed to offer high efficiency, low side lobes and a rugged mechanical configuration. In general, lens corrected antennas are ideal for achieving gain levels of up to 30 dB with moderate side lobe rejections. Additionally, its dielectric lens provides phase error corrections and serves as a radome to protect from environmental conditions.

Lens Antennas
A lens antenna is a directional antenna that uses a shaped piece of microwave-transparent material to bend and focus microwaves by refraction, as an optical lens does for light.[1] Typically it consists of a small feed antenna such as a patch antenna or horn antenna which radiates radio waves, with a piece of dielectric or composite material in front which functions as a converging lens to collimate the radio waves into a beam.[2] Conversely, in a receiving antenna the lens focuses the incoming radio waves onto the feed antenna, which converts them to electric currents which are delivered to a radio receiver. They can also be fed by an array of feed antennas, called a focal plane array (FPA), to create more complicated radiation patterns.

Antenna
The multifunctional antennas are designed to meet the harsh environmental conditions and limited space availability found on submarines. This is achieved by utilizing a unique stack array enclosed within a protecting fibre glass dome. The antenna characteristics has been developed in such a way so that aircrafts can also operate in the airspace for data and voice communications next to ship-to-ship or ship-to-shore communications. In this way aircrafts e.g. AWACS act as relay stations to transfer radio signals. Although the dipole of the lizard has a primarily plane oriented radiation characteristic – up until an elevation angle of 60 degrees-, submarines can still track aircrafts up to an elevation angle of 90 degree. This guarantees complete coverage of the surrounding airspace in 360 degree horizontal level as well as in 180 degree vertical level. With this outstanding multifunction antenna capability Aeromaritime significantly extends the military communications for submarines by offering this unique capability.

Antenna Switch
SixPak
The SixPak has two components: a relay matrix and a control box, there are several options for the controller. The relay matrix allows the selection of any 6 antennas by 2 radios or feedlines. Its lockout circuitry prevents both radios from selecting the same antenna. (The 6x1 type of SixPak is now replaced by our RatPak remote 6 way antenna switch.)The usual set-up has one SixPak dual rotary control box, which is manually operated from the radios positions. The control box for the 6x2 contains two rotary switches and 12 LEDs, so the operator can see which antennas are selected.

Cassegrain Antennas
In telecommunications and radar, a Cassegrain antenna is a parabolic antenna in which the feed antenna is mounted at or behind the surface of the concave main parabolic reflector dish and is aimed at a smaller convex secondary reflector suspended in front of the primary reflector. The beam of radio waves from the feed illuminates the secondary reflector, which reflects it back to the main reflector dish, which reflects it forward again to form the desired beam. The Cassegrain design is widely used in parabolic antennas, particularly in large antennas such as those in satellite ground stations, radio telescopes, and communication satellites.

Machine Vision Lens
FUJINON HF6XA-5M
This new product, which has an external diameter of 39 mm and a focal length of 6 mm, is the world's smallest* Machine Vision lens which is used for industrial processes such as product inspection and measurement on production lines. HF6XA is a new lens which is designed for compatibility with 2/3" sensors with a pixel pitch of 3.45m (five megapixels). HF6XA is a FUJINON Machine Vision lens designed for compatibility with 2/3" sensors, which has coverage of approximately twice*** the current product, the FUJINON HF8XA, which offers the widest coverage range. In the frequently used environments of customers, the lens is compatible with the ultra-high resolution of 3.45m pixel pitch (equivalent to five megapixels when using a 2/3" sensor) under a large portion of the screen. Furthermore, for a wide range of installations and shooting conditions, the lens boasts "4D High Resolution"*4 performance, mitigating resolution degradation that typically occurs when changing a shooting distance or aperture value and maintaining a high level of even image sharpness across the entire image area at the ultra-high resolution of 4.4m pixel pitch (equivalent to three megapixels when using a 2/3" sensor). Despite being a wide-angle 6mm lens, the lens achieves the world's smallest external diameter of just 39 mm. The lens is ideal for attachment inside compact inspection devices with restricted internal space when wide coverage and consistency is required for reading product codes and serial numbers or for inspecting product shape and appearance.

Horn Antennas
Broadband antennas, compared to half wave dipoles, reduce test time because the technician did not have to stop the test to adjust the dipole antenna for each frequency. Most compliance standards now require the use of such antennas. The latest version of Mil-Std 461E states the used of broadband double ridge guide horn antenna as the antenna of choice for frequencies above 200 MHz.

Rotman Lens Designer
Rotman Lens Designer (RLD) is a software tool for the design, synthesis, and analysis of Rotman Lenses and their variants. It is based on Geometrical Optics combined with the classical Rotman Lens design equations. It is intended for rapid development and analysis of Rotman Lenses given several physical and electrical input parameters. RLD generates the proper lens contours, transmission line geometry, absorptive port (dummy port) geometry, provides an approximate analysis of performance, and generates geometry files for import into Remcom's XFdtd® for further analysis and fabrication.
