Both of them have a large (5,7 in) colored touch screen display. Because of that, test results are visible in dark places as well as in bright sunlight.Powerful internal Li-Ion battery of the instruments can last up to 8 hours of testing without recharging.CAT Handheld series records:main contacts operating times,contact synchronization,sequence time,a resistance of pre-insertion resistors,open and close coil currents,main contacts bounce time,auxiliary contact time,DC Voltage.Multiple operations, such as Open-Close and Open-Close-Open, can be initiated by using a predefined delay time or by triggering signal from current clamps connected to circuit breaker coil.CAT-H is capable of performing a coil control, while this feature is optional at CAT-P instrument. The PI-1600 Circuit Breaker Tester incorporates modular design and flexibility to provide unequaled capability in a portable package. The PI-1600 test set is two testers in one, incorporating the PI-800 and PI-AUX. The PI-800 section can be used alone, on 120 or 240 VAC supplies, generating continuous current of 400, 800, amps at 4.2 kVA, with peak output to over 10x. When configured for the PI-1600, the PI-AUX output unit is connected in series or parallel to the PI-800. The PI-AUX boosts total power to 9.8KVA, and allows testing of draw-out breakers and MCB’s to 1600 Amps. The units are housed in rugged interlocking suitcase-size enclosures. Each piece weighs no more than 125 pounds, allowing one-person hand truck mobility. Basic operation is very simple, and the proven MAC-21 control instrumentation provides optimal output control and measurement. The MAC-21 instrumentation is supplied in a separate rugged portable case, interlocks on top of the PI-800, and connects to a cable in the rear of the test set.

The CAT Standard series circuit breaker analyzers & timers are stand-alone or a PC-controlled digital instruments for circuit breakers condition assessments. The timing channels record closing and opening of the arcing, resistor, and auxiliary contacts. CAT Standard series records graphs of both, trip and close coil currents and displacements of the HV and MV circuit breaker moving parts. The main contact channels can also measure the resistance value of the pre-insertion resistors (if present in the circuit breaker). Test results can be downloaded to a USB memory stick or saved to internal memory. The CAT Standard series internal memory can store up to 500 test results (numerical and graphical data).
