Sound Monitoring & Matching API based on Sound Similarity Measurement (for Sound Recognition Projects)
-
Sound recognition is one of the main application areas of artificial intelligence. Various sound recognition techniques exist and can be used for recognizing speeches, music, environmental sounds, animal sounds, air-borne or structure-borne machine sounds, etc. These techniques contain in common signal pre-processing, feature extraction and feature matching / classification algorithms from a general perspective. However, they differ in implementation in different applications. For example, there are a few good automatic speech recognition software products and APIs, however, they just cannot be used directly in animal sound classifications.

Sound Level Meters
-
A sound level meter is a measuring instrument used to assess noise or sound levels by measuring sound pressure. Often referred to as a sound pressure level (SPL) meter, decibel (dB) meter, noise meter or noise dosimeter, a sound level meter uses a microphone to capture sound. The sound is then evaluated within the sound level meter and acoustic measurement values are shown on the display of the sound level meter. The most common unit of acoustic measurement for sound is the decibel (dB); however, some sound level meter devices also determine the equivalent continuous sound level (Leq) and other acoustic parameters. With a portable sound level meter, industrial hygiene and workplace safety professionals can measure sound levels in multiple locations to ensure environmental conditions fall within recommended exposure limits (RELs). Some sound level meter devices can be permanently installed for continuous monitoring of sound levels at a work or job site.

Sound Level Meters & Calibrators
-
A sound level meter, also known as sound pressure level (SPL), decibel (DB) meter, noise meter or noise dosimeter is mainly used for measuring sounds travelling through air. It is used to test noise or sound levels by evaluating sound pressure. It uses a microphone to capture sound and the sound is then evaluated in the device. It is commonly used to prevent loud noises to create a better work environment.

Mobile Sound Ranging Array
MSRA
-
In a peer to peer conflict, weapon location radars used for counter battery purposes will be extremely vulnerable. With aerial/satellite based surveillance available for the opponent, radars will be seen. With electronic warfare means being omnipresent, radars will be triangulated and jammed. There is an urgent need for 24/7 persistent surveillance with (preferably) passive sensors. With mobility being the key for survival on the battlefield, rapid re-deployable, or even truly mobile sensor capabilities are required. Therefore, the traditional sheer sound pressure based sound ranging capability becomes obsolete, as the triangular footprint of the sensor nodes is too large to be installed on a manned, or unmanned platform. With the trend towards longer ranges and “shoot and scoot” drills, the concept of capturing the muzzle blast noise becomes questionable, as the speed of sound is too slow to provide timely localizations.

Quasi Square Wave Constant Voltage Transformers
-
Osborne Quasi Square Wave Constant Voltage Transformers are used to regulate output voltages for applications that have varying input voltages. When used with a rectifier conversion circuit, these units provide an elegant design approach to voltage regulation. Osborne achieves this innovative approach by partnering the constant voltage transformer with an auxiliary resonant capacitor winding. The result is a unique (though time honored) technology that offers reliability, performance, and cost advantages over other styles of voltage regulation.

With a portable sound level meter, industrial hygiene and workplace safety professionals can measure sound levels in multiple locations to ensure environmental conditions fall within recommended exposure limits (RELs). Some sound level meter devices can be permanently installed for continuous monitoring of sound levels at a work or job site.An important attribute to consider when searching for a suitable sound level meter is its type or class. The type or class of a sound level meter defines the device's accuracy as per American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) guidelines. Typically, "type" is the grade according to the ANSI S1.4 standard, whereas "class" is the grade according to the IEC 61672 standard. There are two types or classes assigned to sound level meters: type 1 / class 1 or type 2 / class 2. For assessing noise in basic industrial, commercial, educational, recreational or residential applications, a type 2 / class 2 sound level meter usually will suffice. For precision-grade assessments often made in a laboratory, a type 1 / class 1 sound level meter primarily is used. PCE sound level meter products are lightweight, easy-to-use and manufactured in accordance with the highest industrial standards.

Millimeter Wave Continuously Variable Waveguide Attenuators
-
Our millimeter wave variable waveguide attenuators allow designers and engineers to test their systems at various signal strengths and attenuation values to determine the optimum signal performance of the system. The key feature of these waveguide attenuators is that the attenuation level is adjusted using a built-in micrometer which enables repeatable and rapid re-setting to different attenuation levels without the need for additional external components. Our waveguide attenuators handle varying attenuation levels from 0 to 30 dB over the specified band allowing the designer to tune the attenuation level needed for the application. These continuously variable waveguide attenuators cover a broad frequency range of 33 to 110 GHz in five bands and also display flat performance across a wide band with low insertion loss.
