A wide range of probes, sensors and signals is available for ALMEMO® data loggers and measuring instruments, which are connected via intelligent connectors with integrated data carrier. For common measuring tasks the connectors are configured at the factory and the measuring device automatically recognizes the connected sensor. All sensors can be calibrated, scaled and provided with a unique designation via the intelligent connectors. The programming always remains with the corresponding sensor, so that it can be connected to any input on the measuring instrument. Inaccuracies of a sensor can be corrected in the connector, thus turning simple sensors into precise transducers.

HYPERSPEC® sensors are line-scanning instruments (sometimes called pushbroom) that collect reflected light through an image slit. One row of spatial pixels is collected per frame as motion occurs, with each pixel containing full spectral data. Motion can be accomplished in two ways: either as an airborne deployment (UAV, aircraft, or satellite) or stationary (where motion is accomplished beneath the sensor, such as a food inspection line). A third option is also available where pan-and-tilt or rotary stages allow a fixed-location sensor to scan a stationary object (such as a piece of artwork, or a mine face for geological applications).

XYZ sensors are capable of providing xy chromaticity co-ordinates in accordance with the CIE 1931 color map. The ams color sensors include filters to block unwanted IR light in the visible spectral range, enabling highly accurate color measurement. There are three different types of pressures that can be measured using Premier Electrosystems' Pressure Sensors: Gauge, Absolute, and Differential. Gauge pressure is the pressure measured relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure.A typical application for a gauge pressure sensor is to measure liquid levels in a vented tank using the difference in hydrostatic pressure and ambient atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure sensors will give the result relative to zero (a perfect vacuum). This is useful in applications where there is a direct effect of altitude on the pressure being measured. Differential pressure sensors measure the difference in pressure between two points. Differential pressure sensors are often used to monitor airflow in HVAC applications.
