Radiation-Based
PROTRAC
-
Radiometric point level detection operates with a radioactive source that emits focussed gamma radiation. The radiation is picked up by a detector on the opposite side of the vessel. When the gamma rays are blocked by the medium, the detector receives little or no radiation. The intensity changes of the incoming radiation are forwarded as signals by a relay.

LWIR Micro Thermal Camera Module
Lepton®
-
The FLIR Lepton® is a radiometric-capable LWIR OEM camera solution that is smaller than a dime, fits inside a smartphone, and is one tenth the cost of traditional IR cameras. Using focal plane arrays of either 160x120 or 80x60 active pixels, Lepton easily integrates into native mobile-devices and other electronics as an IR sensor or thermal imager. The radiometric Lepton captures accurate, calibrated, and noncontact temperature data in every pixel of each image.

ECPR System (Electrically Calibrated Pyroelectric Radiometer)
Rs-5900
-
Developed in conjunction with NIST, the Rs-5900 ECPR is a ±1% absolute accuracy radiometric transfer standard for the visible to near-IR (0.25-2.0µm), with the RsIR Option extending the ±1% accuracy to >20µm. The RsP-590 Pyroelectric Probe requires no cooling and maintains ±1% accuracy from 1 µW to 100 mW. The ECPR uses an auto-nulling, electrical substitution technique that allows the instrument to be referenced against NIST electrical standards, insuring maximum accuracy and precision. Unlike most electrically calibrated radiometers, there is a direct correlation between electrical and optical heating because the same material serves as both the optical absorber and electrical heating element.
