The new ERF-5W™ filter takes Pole/Zero’s MINI-ERF® technology to a higher level of RF power handling, with 5W (average) in-band power handling, and covering the entire military tactical radio tuning range of 30-520 MHz in one integrated package. This tunability is accomplished by the use of three poles of selectivity, multiple internal tunable filters along with high performance PIN diode RF band select switches. The tunable filters are designed to minimize size and power consumption, while maintaining high RF power handling and linearity characteristics. Serial control is accomplished via a standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)-based bus.

It is easy and efficient in upgrading its frequency range by a various number of extensions which can be integrated into the instrument step by step. The frequency ranges are 1 GHz, 3 GHz, 6 GHz, 18 GHz, 26.5 GHz or 40 GHz respectively. A large variety of configuration possibilities makes the TDEMI X to the customized solution perfect fitting into your lab and to your application according to civil standards (e. g. CISPR, EN, FCC Part 15, ANSI C63.2, ANSI C63.4), military standards (e. g. MIL-461G, but also its previous versions and revisions) as well as avionic standards (e. g. DO-160). The frequency range of the TDEMI X instruments starts at 9 kHz in its standard configuration and can be extended down to 10 Hz by the option MIL/DO-UG or even down to DC by the available option OSC-UG as well. It enables simultaneous operation of multiple transceivers in a cosite environment and is factory configured for an ARC-210 interface. This filter/amplifier provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise, harmonics, and spurious signals while still providing full output power in transmit mode and excellent selectivity to interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode. All transmit, receive, and bypass switching is incorporated into the two-port design. The ICE3005 also includes a separate audio processor circuit that mitigates popping and drop-outs in the R/T audio that are common in hopping or blanked waveforms.
