Some of the designs are based around standard network analyzers for signal processing, while utilizing high PRF short-pulse RF transceivers with gated IF architecture. Dual-channel designs permit full polarization matrix measurements with either electromechanical or solid-state switches. LS25 is an in-situ analyzer for non-contact measurement of the concentration of gases. The measuring principle of the LS25 is based on the principle of single line spectroscopy (Tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy, TDLAS). A single cross-sensitivity-free absorption line of the gas to be measured is selected in the near infrared range. A single-mode diode laser operating at room temperature scans the respective absorption line. By using an opposite receiver, the absorption caused by the sample gas is measured and from this the concentration is calculated.
