The new ERF-5W™ filter takes Pole/Zero’s MINI-ERF® technology to a higher level of RF power handling, with 5W (average) in-band power handling, and covering the entire military tactical radio tuning range of 30-520 MHz in one integrated package. This tunability is accomplished by the use of three poles of selectivity, multiple internal tunable filters along with high performance PIN diode RF band select switches. The tunable filters are designed to minimize size and power consumption, while maintaining high RF power handling and linearity characteristics. Serial control is accomplished via a standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)-based bus.

The Model N360M measures carbon dioxide (CO2) by comparing infrared energy absorbed by a sample to that absorbed by a reference according to the Beer-Lambert law.The N360M uses Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) to overcome the interfering effects of various other gases (such as water vapor) that also absorb IR. The analyzer passes the IR beam through a spinning wheel made up of two separate chambers: one containing a high concentration of CO2 known as the reference, and the other containing a neutral gas known as the measure. The concentration of CO2 in the sample chamber is computed by taking the ratio of the instantaneous measure and reference values and then compensating the ratio for sample temperature and pressure. A nitrogen purge system is provided for the GFC wheel assembly to eliminate the effects of ambient CO2, if necessary.

When programmed from the USB port, the USBPHP-S1 will remember all of the programmed properties between power cycles. The J2190A active filter presents a high impedance (approximately 150kOhms) minimizing the loading of the circuit being tested. The output impedance is 50 Ohms allowing low noise coaxial connections to all typical test equipment. The 0.1Hz-10Hz noise band is common for opamp measurements, voltage regulators and voltage references. Many application notes offer schematics of such a filter for test purposes. An engineer’s time is much too valuable to be spent building test equipment. We have created a 4th order high pass and 4th order low pass filter with an optimally flat response and 0dB gain. Additional filters can be cascaded for even sharper cutoff.
