Semiconductor Package Wind Tunnel

The WT-100 Forced Convection (Moving Air) Wind Tunnel is designed in accordance with the EIA/JEDEC JESD51-6 standard for thermal characterization of semiconductor packages and devices. The vertical design minimizes laboratory floor space requiements. Air is drawn in at the bottom and exhausts at the top. The test section is large enough to accommodate the largest JEDEC and SEMI thermal test boards. Air velocity can be adjusted over the range of 0.5 to 5 m/s; air velocity is monitored with an included hot-wire anemometer connected to a digital display. A Type-T thermocouple is mounted in the test section for monitoring the moving air temperature.

The Xcite System Master Controller provides all dual loop functions needed for accurate closed loop control and display of the static and dynamic test variables, while producing the highest electro-hydraulic frequency response. At the heart of each Xcite System is the Master Controller, a compact electronic control package which provides all of the controls and displays necessary to operate a controlled force or torque exciter system. The Xcite Master Controller is unique in that it provides electro-hydraulic excitation over a broad frequency range, unprecedented by any previous electro-hydraulic excitation system. Portable or Stationary Ultrasonic Flowmeter for Liquids
DUC
Two ultrasonic clamp-on transducers are externally mounted on a pipe and produce an acoustic path. The transducers send and receive acoustic signals and their transit times are measured by an electronic flow transmitter. The signal is accelerated by the flow in the forward direction. The return signal is decelerated by the flow in the opposite direction. The difference in time between the two, together with the path length L, can be used to determine the average flow velocity. This principle is known as the acoustic time-of-flight principle.

ABB Ability mobile gas leak detection system uses ABB’s patented Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) technique which has a sensitivity and precision more than 3000 times greater than legacy methods. This enables identification of leaks several hundred feet away from the source. Current traditional leak detection technology is slow, laborious and costly. Operators walk on foot near the pipeline with hand-held sensors making paper-based reports.This is slow and can lead to dangerous leaks being missed or not identified in a timely manner. ABB’s Ability mobile gas leak detection system delivers a low cost per leak solution with low false positives. Reporting includes mapping of the leaks available via a mobile app and measurements as Cloud-based service. The system consists of ABB’s Methane/Ethane Analyzer, a GPS, a sonic anemometer and proprietary leak detection software that presents real-time geospatial maps of multiple gas concentrations in real time. The software’s sophisticated leak detection algorithm combines the system’s measurements of gas concentrations (CH4, C2H6), local coordinates (GPS) and local wind velocity (sonic anemometer) to estimate the location of the leak. Readings are stored in the device and can be transmitted in real-time to the cloud for centralized monitoring.
