The Analog Devices family of I2C solutions support hot swappable, 2-wire bidirectional bus buffers to allow I/O card insertion into a live backplane without corruption of the data and clock busses. I2C/SMBus Accelerators improve bus transitions to allows multiple device connections or a longer, more capacitive interconnect, without compromising slew rates or bus performance.
