The LCA-9PC Module provides low-cost, dedicated signal conditioning for a single bridge type load cell or torque sensor. Model LCA-9PC comes with DB9 male and female connectors, which require soldering to user-furnished mating female or male wire connectors. On- board jumper selections include sensitivities from 0.5 mV/V to 10 mV/V, bandwidths from 100 Hz to 30 kHz, and amplified outputs of 0 to ±5V, 0 to ±10V, 0-16 mA, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA. Zero and span adjustments are via precision 25-turn low-tempco metal film otentiometers.The units can be operated next to the sensor with 4-wire hookup or at distances up to 1 km (3300 feet) with 6-wire hookup. An onboard 87.325 kΩ resistor allows easy shunt calibration at the push of a button. Provision is also made for a user-furnished calibration resistor. Power requirements are 11.8 to 26V DC with load currents from 10 to 60 mA, the latter applying when the unit provides 10V DC excitation to a 350 ohm load cell and delivers a 20 mA analog output.

The CQ range provides an innovative fully-concentric and balanced actuator design for quarter-turn valves. The design features a helical mechanism that transforms linear piston motion into quarter-turn valve stem rotation. CQ actuators provide a much higher torque output for a given footprint than scotch yoke designs typically utilised to operate many quarter-turn valve types. It is therefore ideally suited for installation in confined spaces. Further, Rotork’s unique helical pin design provides higher efficiency than a helical gear mechanism utilised by other valve actuator manufacturers.As standard, the CQ torque output profile, like that of a scotch yoke actuator, is engineered to parallel the torque demand profile typically found with popular quarter-turn valve types. The CQ design however is unique in that the torque profile can be custom engineered and manufactured to meet specific, non-standard valve torque requirements.In our experience, the CQ standard range of sizes is suitable for applications that require a pneumatically powered actuator with torque demand less than 150,000 Nm. Ideal for the calibration and the control of torque keys and to rque screwdrivers. Microprocessor indicator is fed by 4 internal batteries with an autonomy of 200 hours, with the AUTO POWER OFF function which activates if any change in the measurement is detected in an interv al of 30 minutes. The new generation electronic section consists of a particularly long-term stable analogue circuit and of a 16 bits A/D converter which ensures 65.000 internal divisions with an acquisition sp eed of 200 conversions per second. On the display there is an analogue bar for torque, that is still active, even in the programming menu.
