Used for switching inductive/capacitive loads up to 10A with 125VDC/250VAC hot switching and 400VDC/250VAC cold switching. X and Y connections are made via a 20-way GMCT plug, the 8x4 module with loop-thru has an additional 20-way GMCT plug for module-to-module connection. Power Matrix Modules are intended for switching heavy AC or DC loads or for slaving large external relays, contactors and solenoids. Suitable for applications requiring switching of either mains voltage or direct current.

This module has 16 two pole relays arranged as two separate8x1 multiplexers as shown in the figure to the left. The muxes may be operated and wired individually for up to 32 8x1's per chassis, or jumpered together to form 16x1's or jumpered to the backplane to form up to a 256x1 mux or two 128x1 muxes. It is available with Type S, M or LT reed relays.

The Keysight 34946A microwave switch for the 34980A Multifunction Switch/Measure Unit offers bi-directional switching for test signals from DC to 26.5 GHz.
