However frame loss will occur if a connection is re-routed. When traffic with a given transmitted frame rate is sent through the connection during re-routing, packet loss can be measured and the convergence time can be calculated. CEAST VisualIMPACT software is designed to control CEAST Pendulums and Drop Tower Series, manage tests and offer a user-friendly interface when using the Data Acquisition System. It records force and absorbed energy data related to impacts, visualizes and helps analyze the results and calculates resilience. The operator is guided through parameters setup by means of tables describing strikers and specimens that are filtered according to the test type and international standard selected. In the case of instrumented tests, many possibilities for data analysis and visualization are made available. The results are shown through comprehensive and customizable graphs and can be filtered by break type (only specimens with a selected break type are shown). Working with groups of test, the software performs a statistical analysis, and the operator can pick and discard single test results. Different measurement units can be selected. It is possible to print reports and to export data totally or partially. Recent improvements include the possibility to set a number of user profiles, including graphic settings, default printing options, advanced parameters for data analysis and so on, switching quickly from one another when looking at results. The introduction of a new Data Acquisition System (CEAST DAS 64K) in the Impact product line has also triggered a number of new capabilities for the SW, which is now able to process a more comprehensive calibration file for instrumented tups and hammers and manage DAS configurations with a wider range of data acquisition channels.

Silver Ball Matrix Sockets

SM Contact is a unique contact that has precise silver balls held together by a proprietary conductive formulation. These conductive columns (diameter optimized for 50 ohm impedance) are suspended in a non-conductive flexible elastomer substrate with a patented solid core for enhanced durability and reliable performance over time, temperature and cycles. This flexible substrate is very compliant and resilient and enables the conductive columns to revert back to original shape when the force is removed. Solutions are available for 0.25mm to 1.27mm LGA, BGA, QFN, CSP, POP, WLP and other packages. The silver ball matrix contact technology is also available with a protective plunger matrix (a gold plated copper cylinder) that sits on top of the conductive columns. This plunger matrix protects the conductive column from contamination from various solder ball interfaces. A quickly replaceable plunger matrix enables minimal downtime during final production test. The product family code for this line of sockets is SMP.
