Power Amplifier is used to amplify the output of the CS700A or CS701 signal generators. The 52 MHz bandwidth amplifier can swing 36Vpp with an output current up to 1A continuous. The CS1070 includes an internal inverting power supply to provide the negative rail, simplifying power supply requirements. The gain is fixed at x10 (20dB). The output voltage range is ±5V to ±18V and asymmetrical to +31, -5V for PSRR measurements right up to 30V as the input supply increases past 20V.

Video Distribution Amplifiers (sometimes called a video splitter – not to be confused with a video split screen controller such as our PXD510E split screen controller) are typically used for connecting a camera or other video source to several monitors that do not have “looping” inputs. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. The 40-666 is a high current multiplexer available in dual 3-channel or single 6-channel configurations occupying two slots of PXI chassis. Each multiplexer switch uses a fully isolated solid state relay which has been designed to offer fast operation under hot switching conditions and high inrush current with no operational life degradation. Each multiplexer channel can support 10A of continuous current and switch up to 200V signals. The switches can sustain inrush currents in excess of 50A. AC or DC signals can be switched since the switch is polarity insensitive. Note: The 40-666-011 supersedes the 40-666-001 which is functionally the same but with some changes in specification. A data sheet for the 40-666-001 can be found in the40-666/667 User Manual.
