Pinhole Detection Devices
-
ElektroPhysik Dr. Steingroever GmbH & Co. KG
The coating control by means of pore testing makes use of electrical voltage in order to uncover microscopically small defects (> 20 μm) in the coating of a surface. If even a small defect can be detected during pore testing of surface coatings, urgent action is required. Minimal flaws in the coating are sufficient to cause great damage.

Scanning Electrochemical Microscope
VS-SECM (DC And AC)
-
The SECM integrates a positioning system, a bipotentiostat, and an ultramicroelectrode probe or tip. The positioning system moves the probe close to the surface of the sample, within the local imaging zone. The bipotentiostat can polarize the probe only (feedback mode) or the sample and the probe independently (generator-collector mode), while measuring the resulting current(s). The probe is specially designed to have a specific tapered polish (per the RG ratio) and active radius below 100 microns. The positioning system scans the probe and charts position with measured electrochemical parameters, creating a data map of local current.

Z-Axis Drive and Controller
MFC-2000
-
Applied Scientific Instrumentation
The MFC-2000 has been specifically designed to provide a high resolution and highly repeatable, means of controlling the focus/Z position of the microscope stage. Precise control of the microscope's focus is obtained through the use of a closed-loop DC servomotor employing high resolution encoders for positioning feedback. By using closed-loop control of the focus position, there is no chance that the focus point can be lost as can occur with open-loop stepper motors.

Matrix Vapor Deposition System
iMLayer
-
The iMLayer matrix vapor deposition system is sample pretreatment (application of matrix) in order to perform MALDI-MS imaging using an analysis system such as the iMScope imaging mass microscope or the MALDI-7090. With the iMLayer, the deposition method has been adopted as a pretreatment method to achieve high spatial resolution. By using this method, fine matrix crystal can be produced. Also, thanks to automated control, the coating thickness is reproducibly controlled as users configure.

Galvo-Resonant Scan Head and Controller
-
Our LSK-GR08(/M) Galvo-Resonant Scanner contains one resonant scan mirror and one galvo scan mirror that deflect an incident laser beam in X and Y, respectively. Identical to the galvo-resonant scanner used in our Bergamo® II multiphoton microscopes and complete Cerna®-based confocal systems, the 8 kHz resonant frequency of the resonant scan mirror enables much higher-speed scans than a galvo-galvo system. In our Bergamo system, the scanner can achieve 30 fps at 512 x 512 pixels image resolution.
