The Radio Frequency (RF) Scoring Tool (RFST) takes the guess work out of RF environment simulation. During RF environment simulation, the RFST provides clear persistent scoring and recording of the RF simulator’s performance. The RFST digitizes all RF signals in the form of digital Pulse Descriptor Words (PDWs) and associated In-phase/Quadrature (I-Q) data. This massive data stream is recorded for later (Post-Scenario) Analysis. Additionally, the RFST provides a real-time visual display of the accuracy of the RF output, easily visible through straight forward real-time indicators. The post analysis tool set allows an unlimited number of users to simultaneously assess previous RF simulator performance with compelling visual representations. The Astronics Frequency Converter Unit (FCU) provides frequency conversion of variable frequency aircraft power. Recent trends in aircraft power systems use variable frequency (VF) generators instead of fixed frequency of 400Hz. While the majority of aircraft loads can use VF power, select loads still exclusively require 400Hz and are best addressed by the use of FCUs. The FCU performs the task of converting the power line frequency by leveraging recent advances in solid-state technology to provide dramatic improvements in performance over traditional frequency converter solutions.

The RA062-F2 is a multiple LO module used to generate three pairs of LO signals, each pair being phase matched in order to provide the capability to drive two phase and amplitude matched, high sensitivity narrowband receivers such as might be required for an EW receiver system with DF functionality.The Stepped Frequency Synthesiser is based upon Direct Frequency Synthesis, DFS, whereby the 1GHz input reference signal is multiplied, filtered and mixed to generate a given number of isolated and filtered single tone CW signals from the 1GHz comb. A finely tuned signal is then generated using a multi-way switch to select between the 1GHz spaced CW tones and mixed with fine resolution signals generated using a custom DDS/VCO PLL network. In this way finely tuned signals can be generated between 7.5GHz and 23GHz.
