LilyPad Light Sensor

The LilyPad Light Sensor is a sewable breakout board with an ALS-PT19 light sensor built in and ready to use right away. Each sensor outputs voltage between 0V and 3.3V depending on the level of ambient light shining on it. As more light is applied on the sensor, more current will flow from the board through the signal tab to the microcontroller you connect the sensor to. If the sensor receives no light, no current will flow through it. In a typical indoor lighting situation, the sensor will output around 1 to 2V. Adding this board into your next e-textile or wearable project will really open up the possibilities by being able to incorporate light level sensing capabilities.

Breakout board for the MAX31855J digital thermocouple interface ICs by Maxim. Measured temperature range is -210C-1200C with known thermal characteristics and output resolution of 0.25C. This sensor supports a larger operating range (specifically in the negative range) than its predecessors, the MAX6674 and MAX6675, though it is not pin-pin compatible. This board is interfaced with a 0.1" 2x5 pin header (8-pins used), has four vertical mini thermocouple connectors and four mounting holes for standoffs and 4-40 screws. The SEN-30003 is interfaced via 3 or 4-wire SPI with a data-ready output for specific operating modes. An LDO and a high-speed level shifter are included to allow interfacing with microcontroller devices between 3.0V and 5V (all Arduinos, Raspberry PI, etc) without sacrificing device performance (many other level shifters reduce data rates to below 500 kHz).

There are three different types of pressures that can be measured using Premier Electrosystems' Pressure Sensors: Gauge, Absolute, and Differential. Gauge pressure is the pressure measured relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure.A typical application for a gauge pressure sensor is to measure liquid levels in a vented tank using the difference in hydrostatic pressure and ambient atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure sensors will give the result relative to zero (a perfect vacuum). This is useful in applications where there is a direct effect of altitude on the pressure being measured.
