Process EDXRF Spectrometer
NEX LS
-
Applied Rigaku Technologies, Inc
Featuring advanced third generation EDXRF technology, the Rigaku NEX LS represents the next evolution of scanning multi-element process coatings analyzers for web or coil applications. To deliver superior analytical performance and reliability, the EDXRF measuring head assembly was derived from the established Rigaku NEX Series high-resolution benchtop instrumentation. With this proven technology, the Rigaku NEX LS delivers rapid, non-destructive, multi-element analyses — for coat weight, coating thickness and/or composition — for elements from aluminum (Al) through uranium (U). The measuring head is mounted on a rigid beam and is equipped with a linear traversing mechanism positioned over a roller so that the head-to-surface distance is constant. Common applications include silicone release coaters, converters, denesting Si for vacuum-formed plastics, RoHS compliance, conversion coatings, metalized plastic, top coatings on metal coil and fire retardants on fabric.

Pulsed X-ray technology
-
Golden Engineering X-ray generators are based on Pulsed X-ray technology. Pulsed X-rays generate a high intensity X-ray burst (pulse) in a very short period of time (10 to 50 nanoseconds depending on the model). The output dose of each pulse is 3-6 mR measured 12 inches from the front of the X-ray generator. The operator varies the overall dose of each exposure by changing the pulse setting. The pulse rate varies from 10 pulses per second to 25 pulses per second depending on the model. The generators can fire up to 200 pulses before a four-minute rest period.

Microscope Photoluminescence Spectrometer
Flex One
-
Photoluminescence (PL) is the light emission from a material under the excitation by ultraviolet, visible or near infrared radiation. In semiconductor luminescent property measurements, the sample (e.g. GaN, ZnO, GaAs etc.) was usually excited by a laser (with a wavelength of 325 nm, 532 nm, 785 nm etc.), and its PL spectrum is measured to analyze the optical physical properties, such as the band gap width etc.. Photoluminescence is a high sensitivity, non-destructive analysis method, which can provide the information about the structure, composition and surrounding atomic arrangement of materials. Therefore, it is widely used in physics, materials science, chemistry and molecular biology and other related fields.
