The 68G5E is a 3U OpenVPX board that is configured with an Ethernet Switch module (choose the ES1, 12-Port GbE Cu legacy unmanaged Ethernet Switch, or the ES2 16-Port Cu GbE managed Ethernet Switch with optional 4x 10GBASE-SR 850 nm multimode Fiber Optic interface) and provides additional support for one NAI smart I/O and Communications function module. Uniquely designed, the 68G5E provides ‘independent’ Ethernet Switch capabilities and can operate as a MFIO board end point with access via the 1 x1 PCIe and/or 1x 10/100 Ethernet motherboard Control Port which hosts the NAI Ethernet Protocol Server/Listener application for direct GbE MFIO control. Ideally suited for rugged Mil-Aero applications, the 68G5E delivers off-the-shelf solutions that accelerate deployment of SWaP-optimized systems in air, land and sea applications.

NAI’s 64CS4 is a 6U VME multifunction I/O board designed for applications requiring Digital-to-Synchro/Resolver (D/S) stimulus output, as well as I/O and communication functions. This board contains five intelligent, function module slots. The board can be configured for 10 D/S channels, or for D/S in combination with I/O and communication modules. Additional enhancements include FIFO data buffering for select modules. Using multiple DSPs, the enhanced motherboard enables higher processing power and dedicated pre-processing control for each module.

The FW2 provides IEEE 1394 (Firewire) high-speed serial communications. The module is provided with a direct PCIe interface to the local (on-board) processor, or, an external host processor for board platforms that support external PCIe connectivity. These module(s) are not supported with the classic memory register-based NAIBrd Software Support Kit (SSK) API libraries. These communication function modules support device control and management via standard native OS (Linux) FireWire device driver.

The 75D4-H2 is a Layer 2+ Gigabit Ethernet Switch built upon NAI’s multifunction, 3U cPCI board technology. The 75D4 motherboard contains a high-density I/O module slot that supports an H2 switch function. The 75D4 with H2 consumes approximately 9.5 W of total power at 5 V to operate at full 1000 Base-T speeds. In addition, the 75D4 motherboard can integrate four channels of RS232/423/422/485 serial communications. This adds an additional 1.5 W of 5 V power. Serial data is available on the cPCI bus or can optionally be available over Ethernet via the use of one of the switch ports.
