Load Cell Amplifier Signal Conditioner with DB9 Connectors

The LCA-9PC Module provides low-cost, dedicated signal conditioning for a single bridge type load cell or torque sensor. Model LCA-9PC comes with DB9 male and female connectors, which require soldering to user-furnished mating female or male wire connectors. On- board jumper selections include sensitivities from 0.5 mV/V to 10 mV/V, bandwidths from 100 Hz to 30 kHz, and amplified outputs of 0 to ±5V, 0 to ±10V, 0-16 mA, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA. Zero and span adjustments are via precision 25-turn low-tempco metal film otentiometers.The units can be operated next to the sensor with 4-wire hookup or at distances up to 1 km (3300 feet) with 6-wire hookup. An onboard 87.325 kΩ resistor allows easy shunt calibration at the push of a button. Provision is also made for a user-furnished calibration resistor. Power requirements are 11.8 to 26V DC with load currents from 10 to 60 mA, the latter applying when the unit provides 10V DC excitation to a 350 ohm load cell and delivers a 20 mA analog output.

The SST-HV is a Plug & Play Smart TEDS IEEE 1451.4 compliant Transmitter. Just plug in a TEDS compatible Load Cell or Torque Sensor and the SST-HV will automatically self-calibrate. When used with a non-TEDS Load Cell or Torque Sensor, the SST-LV Transmitter is easily programmed using a PC with an RS232 port and Instrument Setup (IS) software, which provides a graphical user interface. The SST-HV may be powered from 95-240 Vac ±10%. The SST-HV has an Isolated transducer excitation output that is selectable between 5Vdc or 10Vdc. There are Dual solid state relays and an Isolated 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA or 0-10V analog output. There are three Isolated serial data transmitter output ( RS232 , Half-duplex RS485, full-duplex RS485 ) and three serial protocols that are software selectable (Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Custom ASCII). Isolation to 250V rms is provided for power, signal input, analog output, relay outputs, and communications. Isolation adds safety and avoids possible ground loops. The transducer excitation output is isolated to 50V from signal ground.

The LBM Series (Load Button) load cells are offered for compression only applications where space is limited. This load button is a direct replacement for many of the same type and bolt patterns currently used in the industry. The matching surface must be flat and at least 2 inches in diameter. The loading diameter is slightly convex for accurate load distribution. Eight threaded mounting holes are provided on the bottom surface for fastening down from beneath. Was developed to read and edit Plug and Play Smart Sensors that are compliant to the IEEE 1451.4 Standard. TEDS, or transducer Electronic Data Sheet, is a set of electronic data in a standardized format defined within the IEEE 1451.4 standard. This data specifies what type of sensor is present, describes its interface, and gives technical information such as sensitivity, bridge type , excitation, etc. This information is stored in an EEPROM chip attached to the sensor. By having this chip, the sensor can identify and describe itself to the network and or Smart Load Cell Meter (DPM-3), thereby easing automatic system configuration.

Our RSS Series rotating socket wrench torque sensors are available in ranges from 10 ft-lbs. through 250 ft-lbs. and provide accurate measurements of bolt or nut wrenching torques. Our CLC Series is our high capacity compression only load cell, featuring low profile compact size for a wide range of portable and dedicated applications. The loading diameter (D1) is slightly convex for accurate load distribution. Low deflection through design results in ultra fast frequency response. All ranges are made from 17-4ph heat treated stainless steel and incorporate a stainless steel molded connector system designed to resist washdown and splash. The mating connector, sold separately, is available in three different cable lengths.
