6TL Engineering
6TL is a pioneer in applying the modularity concept to the design of Automated Test Equipment for electronics products. FastATE® Technology is the core to developing turn-key solutions that are truly modular, scalable and flexible, and thus we help to make the job of both test engineers and budget managers much easier. Thanks to FastATE, test engineers do not have to address the recurrent tasks of every project: a 6TL module completes these tasks for them. Each module selected is a high-level block that covers a function of the ATE and works together with the rest making in the end a real modular and flexible production test solution. The resulting test solution will be easily documented and will smoothly become the standard for the production, since the standardization is in the genetics of the FastATE® Technology.

The 6TL24 is the Base platform ideal for Combinational test (ICT+FCT) in low to mid volume, high-mix electronics productions. A dual-stage pushing mechanism will allow performing both, the FCT and the ICT test, without the need of changing the test platform and with a low cost fixturing technology. To do so, the exchangeable cassette fixture must be designed with two-level probes. IN the 6TL24, the second level is reached thanks to a pneumatic actuator.

EOL test for manufacturing of bulbs with LED for applications requiring to ensure watertightness: vehicles, marine, swimming pools, operating rooms, classified areas (Ex Zone), etc. The test system checks in a short time all the light and electrical characteristics of the bulb. A high precision Micro Leakage Meter also checks that there are no leaks between the environment and the inside of the bulb. The test results are recorded on the PC and can be printed on a quality control label attached to each unit.

The intelligent Power Distribution Unit (PDU) H7300.08xx has two main functions:• Distributing the power to each device in a system• Switching on the devices sequentially, in order to minimize the inrush current from the switched power supplies, that might affect the contactors.The PDU has electrical monitoring of the load status in order to ease troubleshooting and maintenance tasks:• There are two light indicators per socket, to inform the user about:– Whether the plugged devices main switch is turned ON. This is helping to identify plugged devices with their main switch OFF, that therefore cannot be controlled by the PDU– Whether the power for the socket is ON. Therefore, (P ON) indicates that the PDU is giving power to the device.All the relays are CAN bus controlled.The unit has an extra power terminal block in order to extend to other units (connect more PDUs).

This module, named “6TL-MMI”, is designed to be the interface between an operator and a SYSTEM as well as being a metered power distribution unit (PDU) for it. The module is providing also safety controls, data bus interfaces, temperature control and timers. The 6TL-MMI is suitable for any ATE, and specially for those based on CAN bus controlled devices, because in addition to the above functionalities, this module is also providing galvanic isolation up to 1500V for the CAN bus. This isolation will block potential disturbance towards the DUT.
