Heat, Vapor, and Carbon-Dioxide Flux Sensors
-
Heat, vapor, and carbon-dioxide flux sensors are typically used in eddy-covariance systems to measure exchanges of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and heat between the surface of the earth and the atmosphere.

Software
-
Data acquisition software is used for a variety of purposes: to support datalogger programming, enable communication between dataloggers and computers or mobile devices, manage data files, and display data in graphical formats. More advanced users can add custom capabilities or interfaces with our software development kits.

Water Level, Stage, and Flow Sensors
-
Campbell Scientific offers a variety of sensors to measure water level, stage, and flow: pressure transducers, shaft encoders, radar ranging sensors, sonic ranging sensors, and bubblers. Users often select their sensors based on the site location, required accuracy level, and ease of installation.

Soil Heat Flux Sensors
-
Soil heat flux sensors may consist of several thermocouples whose measurements are averaged, a single thermopile, or a single thermopile with a film heater. These sensors measure the rate of energy transferred through a surface. Data regarding the amount of energy stored in soil as a function of time is used in energy-balance and Bowen-ratio flux systems.

Distance Sensors
SR50A-L
-
The SR50A is a rugged acoustic sensor for measuring the distance from the sensor to a target. It is typically used to measure snow or water depth, but it is well-suited for other uses.

Evaporation Gauges
-
Evaporation gauges determine the evaporation rate by measuring the changing water level in an evaporation pan. The gauges consist of a float, pulley, and counterweight attached to a potentiometer mounted through a gear assembly in weatherproof housing. The evaporation gauges produce a resistance output that dataloggers can measure.

Air Temperature Sensors
-
Campbell Scientific offers a variety of sensors for measuring air temperature. The electrical signals transmitted from the sensors to our dataloggers can be converted to different units of measurement, including °C , °F, and °K. Our dataloggers are also capable of measuring most commercially available air temperature sensors.

Conversion Devices and Adapters
-
Conversion devices and adapters fulfill several roles. For example, you can use them to convert an output signal to a signal type that can be measured by a data logger, to adjust resistive bridge measurements, or to build distributed measurement networks.

LoggerNet Database Software
LNDB
-
LNDB is an application that enables you to easily move data from a LoggerNet data cache into a database such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL. Then you can use industry-standard software to access and query your data for reports. LNDB also comes with QuickReports, an application that allows you to generate simple reports from an LNDB database with just a few mouse clicks.

Barometric Pressure Sensors
-
Barometric pressure sensors measure fluctuations in the pressure exerted by the atmosphere. The sensors require protection from condensing humidity, precipitation, and water ingress. They are typically housed with the datalogger inside an environmental enclosure. If the enclosure is airtight, the sensor's pressure port must be vented to the atmosphere.

Current Shunt Module
CURS100
-
The CURS100 converts a current signal output by a sensor or output device (e.g., 4 to 20 mA) to a voltage that can be measured by a datalogger. The 100 ohm resistor used for the current shunt allows currents up to 25 mA to be read on a 2500 mV range (CR10, CR10X, CR510, CR500) and currents up to 50 mA to be read on a 5000 mV range (CR23X, 21X, CR7, CR5000, CR9000, CR9000X).

Dataloggers
CR300-Series
-
CR300 dataloggers are small, low-cost, high-value dataloggers with many of the features of other Campbell Scientific dataloggers. In addition, the CR300 dataloggers offer faster communications, low power requirements, built-in USB, and excellent analog input accuracy and resolution.

Redox (ORP) Sensors
-
ORP sensors measure the oxidation-reduction potential—the tendency to gain or lose electrons when a solution comes in contact with a chemical substance. ORP measurements are used to ensure that a solution has been completely reduced or oxidized. ORP sensors are often used in tandem with pH sensors, which measure the hydrogen ion activity in a solution.

Digital Cameras
-
High-resolution digital cameras with video capabilities are used to take still images or videos based on an internal timer, motion detection, or a trigger from another device. The images or videos are then stored on an SD card, saved in a datalogger's memory, sent to a PC via email, or transmitted to an FTP server.
