Eddy-Current Sensors
-
Eddy-Current sensors are noncontact devices capable of high-resolution measurement of the position and/or change of position of any conductive target. Eddy-Current sensors are also called inductive sensors, but generally "eddy current" refers to precision displacement instruments (or nondestructive testing probes) and "inductive" refers to inexpensive proximity switches. High resolution and tolerance of dirty environments make eddy-current sensors indispensable in today's modern industrial operations.

Capacitive Sensors
-
Capacitive sensors (capacitive linear displacement sensors) are noncontact devices capable of high-resolution position measurement and/or position change - displacement measurement - of any conductive target.

Machine Tool Sensors
-
Lion Precision’s machine tool inspection capabilities allow you to quickly pinpoint errors that lead to machine downtime and unnecessary scrap. Whether those errors are temperature, position, or dynamic, using our machine tool sensors, we measure machine tools at full operating speeds to drive informed decisions regarding spindle rebuilds, machine acceptance, and job assignments. From production engineers looking for best or worst operating speeds, to production supervisors looking to determine the best machine for a job, or machine builders trying to embed real-time sensing technology to improve a machine’s performance, we have decades of experience helping manufacturers be more productive using our machine tool sensors.

Label Sensors
-
Optics-free sensing technology is at the heart of an LRD clear label sensor. They see labels regular "eyes" can't see — like clear labels on a clear liner! This improved technology also makes them faster and more precise - even on ordinary paper labels. More than 50,000 LRD label sensors installed across the globe testify to their accuracy and reliability. Our clear label sensors use capacitive or ultrasonic technology so they have no sensitivity to color or contrast. The sensors are triggered by changes in thickness, not opacity or contrast.
